[ It has been an obnoxiously long day. Actually, it's been a very long week. The planning, the comparing, the struggle to find the best quality but cheapest package, the preparations, the packing, weighing the luggage over and over so they don't have to check bags, the airport, the flight, the constant reassurance that little Lodewijk will be ALRIGHT with Luxembourg... by the end of it all she was starting to wonder if her idea was a good one. But they've finally arrived and whether it be out of frustration or relief, the place seems a lot nicer than she initially imagined.
There's a chill in the air but the sun does peek through the overcast snow clouds. The snow is fresh and beautiful and white, not like the gray slush back home. The lodge itself is heavy with the scent of hot smoked meat, old cedar and pine and there's something sweet and warm in the air, pastries perhaps? Fresh bread? The crackle of wood can be heard from the massive fireplace in lodge's common space and on the board with the specials for the day clearly says that they have mulled mead. MULLED MEAD.
She blinks at the sign for a moment, tired but her face lighting up with delight as she gives Ned a gentle tug of his sleeve, trying to pull his attention away from the man grabbing their room keys. ]
Ned, look... they have mulled mead. I haven't had mead in so so long.

You alright there?
[ He is a pretty big guy but there's enough space for at least another two people in this tub. ]

Uhhh-huh...
[Drawn-out, as he settles back - and then reaches forward to scoop her close to him.]

I guess the snow will always be there tomorrow...

[Huff. The threat to the better-be-existing-tomorrow snow is muted, though, since he's sticking his nose against the damp skin of her neck as he mumbles.]
S'night stuff, too.

What'd you have in mind?

[Carrying on conversations isn't really his strong suit even when he's not distracted with littering kisses down her neck and back up again.]

[ She says it like he does, accent and all. She's just poking a little fun at him, wet fingers slipping over his neck and arms. ]

Are you alright?
[ Look at what you did you spazzy bastard, she's pulling away to make sure you're okay. ]

Hey...
[ Smiles. ]
You're the one who mentioned "night stuff". I was just asking what you wanted to do.

[But she said it LIKE THAT!!! But. Okay. Get with the moment, Nederland.]
Um. Sledding, maybe. Or - whatever y'want.

Hm, sledding could be fun. Dinner won't be coming for a few hours... but I've got you naked in a tub with me and I'm thinking it's about time we got this vacation underway.
[ She leans over when she says that, tone getting softer, the water shifting slightly between them as she brushes her nose against his. ]
Whad'ya think, huh?

Ah -
[On the one hand, yes, yes, and hell yes - on the other - ]
A few hours?
[Not. That the incredulous tone keeps him from wrapping his arms around her. But really. A few hours?]

[ She shift in his arms, turning in them to face him. ]
I figured we were gonna go skiing or something first, then come back and shower and by then dinner would be here.
[ Look she thought out an actual agenda. Be PROUD of her. ]

[And again with the hands - on the one hand - planning, that's strangely hot. On the other - he thought they were getting food sooner rather than later. He bites his lip.]
Maybe - what if we went to the bar, first.
Backtag~
[ See Ned, this is what happens when you don't tell her what you waaaant. ]
