[ It's growing darker and darker outside her window as the sun slowly starts to sink low behind the roofs of houses and beyond the horizon. It's cold out, she can see the trees almost looking as though they're shivering in the cold. Her garden hasn't been winterized either-- he's gonna kill her for that.

Or at least he would if he would get here already. She understands that he had an emergency meeting to attend to but he's LATE and the food is getting cold and the candles are gonna go out and she's getting more and more nervous about her gift for him and, well-- she can't remember the last time she was like this for Sinterklaas. ]

[After running his hands up the legs and ducking his head under it to see how it was built, he gets to the top and gently pokes at the bow. Which moves, hot damn. No stickers. He blinks and snaps his head over when she speaks, slightly apologetic blushing just a little over how absorbed he got in his table inspection.]

Mm.

[Which is a yes, if his small smile didn't give it away. Just in case it doesn't he straightens up and trots over, leans down to kiss that nervousness away.]

[ She does understand some of his nonverbal language so she does understand that hum-- but she does appreciate the kiss, smiling against his lips and kissing him back sweetly. ]

Did you see the design? It's a maritime theme.

[ She murmurs it against his lips, eyes lidded but looking up at him. ]

The ships and the waves...

[Well it's hard for him to see when he's too busy kissing her and looking back at her, goofy grin still playing along his lips. Though he did see it in passing, he didn't have time to really admire it.]

Mm. Good pick.

[Though he might just be more taken with running a hand through her hair and attempting to kiss her again. Oh well.]

[ She grins back at him, completely pleased with his answer and trying to tell him that she's sorry she couldn't find a match for it but the way he kisses her is very distracting. She drags her hands up his arms and around the back of his neck, keeping him close as she kisses him back. ]

I'm so glad you like it.

[For that he pulls back enough to raise a brow. Did she really not think he'd like it?]

[ And she looks back up at him, blinking and looking a little bashful. So she had a moment when she thought he wouldn't like it, so sue her. She's relieved now and WHY DID YOU STOP KISSING HER? ]

...

[Oops. He gets a little shuffly in return but he's had too much wine for bashfulness, just shrugs it off.]

I do.

[Gotta clear that up!]

[ Her confused look melts into a smile, leaning up to kiss his cheek. She just needed a little reassurance but now that she has that she feels like a weight has been lifted off her shoulders. She's been staring at that table for weeks now debating if it would suffice and she feels so much better knowing that it passed the test. ]

Good.

[ She gives him a soft smile but her eyes are expectant. Welp, it's your turn, Broer. ]
